AFCON: See the First Team to Qualify for Knockout Rounds

Cape Verde has reached the knockout stage of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The country made it to the next round after defeating Mozambique 3-0 on Friday to confirm their progress in the tournament.

Bebe opened the scoring with a cracking free-kick from over 30 yards in the 32nd minute.

Ryan Mendes and Kevin Pina added more goals in the second half to seal their win.

The result takes Cape Verde up to six points, after they beat Ghana in their opening fixture.

They are the only team in the competition to record two wins so far.
